Broadband 150K (NTL) -
I have a hp omnibook xe 4500 laptop computer, which is a pentium 4 - with 512mb RAM. running windows xp professional. Have done all relevant maintenance etc to 'improve' performance (ie: disk clean up, thorough defrag, scandisk etc) however, I am experiencing some 'resistance' in downloading...- nadiap

hp omnibook xe4500
512mb RAM installed, but smbios/system, only reading 256mb? I discovered this by chance, on visiting www.pcpitstop.com, where they run a series of tests on your computer. It suggested that I may poss need a bios upgrade? Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated as not sure what to do...- nadiap
