Hi there!
I've got a problem configuring the Linux client to get an IP
from the DHCP server, I can connect from my win98, no probs, but with the linux box there is no way.
I've copied all the network stuff, like DNS IP address etc. to no avail.
Any suggestions?

Hi there!
After compiling the kernel 2.4.0 in my RH7.0 , I encounter a problem.
When I try to boot from it, it starts decompressing the kernel and then it hangs.
No error messages or anything.

Thanks.
RD2k1.

Does anybody what does this mean, and what is the 'object'?
Thanks,
R.D.
Hello!

I've spent some time on it, and now I know how to check out IRQ's and I/O's.
There's still one thing I don't get. If Linux picks up my card, there's no errors whatsoever, why there's no sound coming out of the speakers (connections and speakers...
Red Hat picked up my card and said it was installed, but I had no sample sound, so I tried to reconfigure my soundcard (CMI8830) through sndconfig, and I got these errors:

/etc/isapnp.conf:325 --Fatal error occurred...

4. Name your shortcut whatsoever
It's not a definite solution, but it works for me!
By the way, I advice you to not try it on a 'sane' PC, it will make the...
