Hi, in CS3 if I had a missing link I could simply go to the links palette, highlight and copy the name, click relink then when the dialogue box came up just paste in the file name for searching. This seems to have disappeared in CS4 and I can't see any way of copying the file name.
Anyone got...
Thanks JM, all I have is Stuffit and Archive Utility coming up and neither accepted the file.
Not too worried now about using the app as I've managed to reduce my .swf by other means. Still perplexed by what looks like a zipping of a .pkg though.
Thanks for replying spamjim.
The file's about 12MB. It's supposed to be a lite version of a .swf compressor, so the size is about what I would about expect for such a small app.
It seems to suggest it's the extracted .pkg of a .dmg that's then been zipped (don't know why you'd do that), but...
Hi,
downloaded some lite app as a .pkg.zip and I thought it would be a simple case of either Stuffit Expanding or using Archive Utility to extract the file.
Best I can do is archive it further into a .pkg.zip.cpgz
Does anyone know how to open this?
Many thanks

Thanks oldnewbie,
do you know of any failsafe methods of publishing directly via Flash though?
Am using v9 (CS3) and expected to be able to output a decent .gif direct rather than using any 3rd party product...
Hi,
I have a simple .swf with text and a background .gif that fade in and out that runs fine.
I've now been asked to supply this as an animated .gif.
On publishing I get large black blocks that fade but bear no resemblance to my text, and my image is heavily distorted (colours...
Hi,
am pretty sure I had this option back in 10.3, maybe even 10.4 but now there's no date modified option in my search results.
Bar get-infoing everything, is there any work around to sort this?
And where's my little refresh option gone in this search window too - god, that was useful...
Just found the solution:
In the field's Properties under 'Validation', select 'Run Custom Validation Script' and 'Edit' with the following script...
if (event.value == 0) event.value = "";
This should keep the field blank until an amount is entered in the previous fields...
Hi,
running 7.0.3 on Mac 10.5.2. I want to change the default internet browser to Firefox.
Should be a simple case of Editing Location then choosing Other and the Application Path. However, this is not sticking, and I have to do it on a daily basis.
Is there anywhere else I have to change...
Hi,
have three fields, values a, b & c.
a is blank till user input; b and c are calculations of a.
Currently the default values of b and c are showing as $0.00.
Is it possible for these just to be blank until field a is input?
Any suggestions gratefully received...
Hi,
I have a flyer that needs to have variable fields in containing images and contact details. Can anyone give me any pointers to the best way to go about this (InDesign CS2 or Quark 7.2)?
Thanks all
Thanks Andrew,
have checked and all showing fine at my and end-user end, which is stumping me big time. In particular this is a legit version of Univers I've been using for years, that has only recently started to give problems (could this be XP interpretting something different?).
Just been...
Hi, using Quark 7.2 on a G5 1.8 running OS10.4.10.
I've always exported to pdf from Quark, ensuring fonts are selected (fonts are Type 1 postscript). Pdf is fine on screen and prints ok. When opened on a pc (running XP Pro with Reader 8) the fonts have been changed to some default serif face...
Hi, I would like to add an expiration date to my pdfs so they cannot be opened without a password after say 6 months from when they were created.
Is this possible within Pro 7 or is there any extension anyone knows of?
thanks
Thanks all, will check out the drivers, though in the meantime might have found a workaround - in Reader's print dialogue window, under Advanced, ensure that Print as image is checked.
