Latency Spike Every 60 Seconds (BEFW11s4 Router)

I've installed a wireless network in my home recently using a BEFW11S4 router and WUSB11V26 receiver, it works fine in general but gives a huge latency spike every 60 Seconds. Does anybody know the cause/solution to this. I've tried enabling/disabling WEP but no effect.
