According to the Veritas site For SQL 2000 Server: PHYSICAL_ONLY -john- jfdugan

DBCC check every backup?
It takes about 18 hours for Veritas to run a DBCC check on my 20Gb database. This overlaps into time when the DB is being accesed by users... Is this safe? Is there any advantage to checing this on each daily DB dump?- jfdugan
