    SOLVED The workstation in question was a fresh install of Win XP, and did not have Service Pack 2 installed yet (THANKS vick400 for reminding me to check that!). I installed SP2 and it immediately solved the problem. Thanks to everyone for the help!

    What svc pack applies to the shared dictionary? I don't quite understand, since it's just a file by itself...? And what "code folder" are you referring to that I can copy from one workstation to the other?
