You can have 200x machines running in an NT4 domain as member servers. Since DHCP, DNS & WINS don't have to be ActiveDirectory enabled they will all serve an NT4 domain properly from a 2003 server.
The only servers we still have running NT in the actual domain are the PDC & BDC servers...
I have an NT4 domain that I am looking to upgrade to 2003AD. In preparation I have a production 2003 server that is running DHCP, DNS(dynamic) and WINS.
DHCP and WINS work fine. DNS appears to be working but in the forward lookup zone the only Host(A) records that are apearing are for the Win9x...
Thanks for that helpful link to the original article...you might notice that there are no links on there that will supply the neccessary patches. I'm looking for somebody who already has them...
Can anybody help me out with getting hold of the files referenced by the article above. I don't have a support contract with MS and so can't get it direct.
