Mass uninstall

I've a piece of software (wasn't installed with an MSI) that is on 70+ networked PCs that I wish to remove from them all. Is there a solution to this, or do I need to manually remove the software from each PC? Thanks, Ed Ludlow

Two hard disks - selection at boot?

I have two HDs in my PC, one running windows and one running linux - for various reasons I DON'T want to partition, hence the two drives. At the moment I simply switch the IDE cable to whichever I want to use, windows or linux. Is it possible to connect both HDs as master drives, and at boot...

    Batch file to copy file

I have a file that I wish to copy onto every station on my 160 station network. I believe there is a script I can use to copy this file onto each station (say in C:\newfile). I'd be grateful if someone could outline this script and how I use it! Many thanks, tKF

Logging on - changing the logo

    XML - HTML style sheet

I've an XML file (an iTunes playlist) that I wish to put on the web. I am fairly confident with HTML and CSS (and general web coding) but until now I've never needed to use XML. An extract from the XML file is... <key>Name</key><string>My Favorite Things</string>...

Extracting sound from a swf file

I've an animation saved as a swf file, and I'm keen to get the sound out of this file and be able to save this as an MP3. Is there a quick way of doing this (I have Flash MX) or do I need to wire up the PC to record from line in, ie, the speakers? Thanks, Ed Ludlow

    Microphone simply doesn't work!

Tried another mic and it's exactly the same problem. I've tried this USB gizmo that plugs into the USB port and takes both mic and speakers, but again, this doesn't work. It's as if the PC is simply rejecting any form of mic input! Ed

    Microphone simply doesn't work!

I've a microphone plugged into my PC which doesn't work, simple as that. The mic itself is fine (tested on one of my other PCs..) and all the options are as I think they should be, but it just refuses to acknowledge the mic is present - sndvo32 has mic selected for recording, and not muted or...

Displaying directory indexes on Linux servers

Up till know, I've only ever run an Apache web server, but now I've been released into the big wide world, I find myself with access to a Linux server. On one of the directories here, I wish to enable "directory index" viewing, ie, an "index of" page as opposed to a 403...
