Arcserve 2000 fc -2005
what i did to make things work again was to rename the DATABASE folder to DATABASE.OLD and go to the Arcserve2000 CD install disk and basically repaired any of the files that were missing, kinda like a new install. The Client Agent for ARCserve service terminated unexpectedly
I firmly believe that Arcserve2000 SP4 causes more problems than it fixes. I dont know, thats my perception. I had my backups working and loaded this sp4 and things went to hell. I suggest dont do unless you have too.- jve1966

Arcserve 2000 Client service wont start
The one thing that i have done is. In the properties of the arcserve agent, you can tell it to login in as the local or a domain account. I have done this on several occasions (NT4&W2K) and it works. However, not always will this work. I believe that the registry has ghost remnents remaining...- jve1966
