Not sure if this is the right forum for this but can someone suggest another better one?

Guys
I'm a new consultant with a network vendor and have started to learn about some of my clients. I'm also creating organization charts for each one of them but wanted to go beyond your typical traditional run of the mill chart. I want to add a few more things in the boxes which carry the...
Guys, here's some additional information to the feedback you have given me so far. This is an annual performance review and any pay increases will be retroactive to April 1.
Now, my question is:
Once I have signed on the review document, is the company legally allowed to take back my pay...
i'm sure i'm getting a bonus this year. It's a small company and in the past they've demonstrated not being so ethical. A few ex-employees i've spoken to seem to think they'll take away my bonus if i submit my resignation. And no it's not a fixed structure bonus but very discretionary
guys, i have another job offer that i have signed but haven't yet given my papers to my current employer. I only have 3 weeks till i start with my new employer and expect a good bonus this time from my current employer
1) usually, i get my review early may but this time it seems delayed for...

Hello everybody
Can someone tell me resignation todo's and todonot's?
For eg: I have just signed a job offer with another bigger company and am about to submit my resignation letter to my current employer. My current employer always makes counter offers and I'm not interested in one. I'm going...
I have 5 yrs experience in USA and 4 years in my home country. The latter closed down a while ago and untraceable and I was wondering if I should remove it from my resume. This way, when a prospective employer does a background check, they don't come back to me and say they cannot reach that...
Since I know there are a few hiring managers on this board, I would like to pose two question:
1) Do hiring managers have to get approval from HR for a pay package they are offering to a prospective candidate? Does HR have the right to question this or turn it down?
2) Are signing bonuses...
Yup, exactly the answer I was looking for. I actually posted the question even though I knew it was totally subjective. To put my mind at rest, I've finally decided that I'll take the job and experience it myself and if I don't get the job, I'll just console myself that the travel wouldn't have...
i don't have a bad situation at all. I'm a bachelor and can do anything I want. But my question was more toward people who've been in similar situations before or how they took to the task of travelling, whether they hated it more than they thought they would or they didn't find it as bad as...
I'm interviewing for a position which requires 3-4 days of travel each week. The travel is going to be day trips and a combination of air & road travel.
I've never travelled for work before excepting going for a full week to another city for training every few months. I'm not particular averse...
All your opinions have been very valuable. My final decision has been one to stay away from a financial sector job (and even legal) for the time being. I've been too accustomed to working in a friendly environment and I'm not sure if I'd be able to handle the stresses that come with the new job...
I am responding to an RFP with a team of about 4 people. This response is for a fortune 500 corporation and this is the first time we are hoping to do business with them
To personalize and differentiate us from the rest, we want to do something in addition to the regular response which includes...
So in other words if you aren't used to verbal abuses earlier in your career, a trading floor job may not be a suitable environment to work at. Right?
Can anybody tell me about the advantages of working on a floor, if any? I don't see any myself
I'm looking for some advice in here about an opportunity I am consider to be a network engineer for a NYC company with a 200-seat trading floor. I've consulted for financial companies before but never worked in the MIS dept of one. Although there are desktop techs who spend their day on the...
I think I'm inching in a big way towards what paterson has to say.
Also, this training is no way needed to perform my job and the company is simply getting some free training from a partner and want to make use of it.
Hence, I think i have better bargaining power
Opportunity cost means by sending me to training, the company cannot bill me out to a prospective client. And they count this in when getting me to sign the training agreement
