How do you backup the ePO database?

Hi, I just preparing to upgrade our ePO 3.5 server to 3.6.1 but the guide says to backup the database before upgrading it and I can't find the method in the product guide. Does anyone know how to dump the contents of an ePO database in MSDE (v8, I think). Steve.

Enterprise MIBs empty on MS Server 2003

Hi, I have several Win 2003 (SP1) DCs which similar SNMP extensions loaded: Compaq MIB PowerChute (Powernet) MIB Microsoft MIB SNMP Informant (STD) MIB All but one of these DCs reports correctly but one returns 'Table does not exist or is empty' for any Enterprise MIB. Any ideas? Steve.

SNMP Failure on Windows 2003 Server

Hi. I have a problem with one of my Win2003 (SP1) DCs. The SNMP Service which had run for about two weeks now fails with: --- Faulting application snmp.exe, version 5.2.3790.1830, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 5.2.3790.1830, fault address 0x00015dea. For more information, see Help and...

NAUtilU.dll Error using ePO 3 and VS 7.1 on WinNT 4

Update. somewhere along the way this stopped happening. I suspect that one of the upgrade/updates we tried to fix the framework services problem triggered this and then the next 'fix' corrected it. Steve.

mcAfee framework service showing high cpu usage

Hi. reading this thread it is noticable that most if not all of us have offered solutions that NAI suggest we try. The 'suggest we try' part is very worrying. None of the 'solutions' that I'm aware of actually work, which suggests to me that this is a problem for which NAI has no solution...

mcAfee framework service showing high cpu usage

A shortcut to rebooting the server is to send the affected machine a 'Send Agent Install' message from ePO! This works even when the service cannot be restarted by the services applet. Alas, it is not a solution as the problem can still randomly recur.

mcAfee framework service showing high cpu usage

Please ignore server problem. It doesn't belong here and the details are incorrect. I've started a new thread.

EPO (3.0.1) server down every morning

Hi, our EPO (3.0.1) server (win2k mixed mode member server) is down every morning :-( Stopping the MSSQL service and then the ePO and event parser service 'fixes' the problem temporarily but next morning all services appear to be running but need restarting before a connection can be made. Has...

mcAfee framework service showing high cpu usage

Us too, particularly on WinNT servers. Also our EPO (3.0.1) is normally down every morning and needs a reboot to restart the event parser :-( We only upgrade as NAI recommended it to cure the problems we'd been having.

NAUtilU.dll Error using ePO 3 and VS 7.1 on WinNT 4

Hi. Since upgrading to ePO 3 and VS 7.1.0 on WinNT to avoid the Framework Service running at 100% we've had a spate of error messages titled: NAUtilU.dll Error loading resource DLL and then a list of 'missing' DLLs; <installation dir>\VirusScan\Res09\naUtlRes.dll <installation...
