    I have also heard about, but never used, a plugin from a company called hot door. It's expensive but gives true multi page capacity. Matt.

    Converting text between Mac and PC

    If you ever have to convert your text to outlines its sometimes useful to make a copy of all the text and keep it to the side of the artboard - doesn't help when opening on the pc but if you make a lot of changes and have to re-open it on the mac it could prove useful. Matt.

    I havn't got illustrator in front of me to check this but can you not keep a copy of your prefs file somewhere else, just in case. Matt
