    line on page can't be removed can you help?

    I used footnotes to add a footnote and i now have a line 1/3 of the way accross the page. Can type above or below, mouse won't click on line, header footnote no longer highlighted.

    can't get rid of line on page

    I used header/footer to insert a footnote on my paper. afterwards i wound up with a line 1\3 of the way accross my page. I tried to undo to no avail. mouse will go to the line but not click on. PLEASE HELP.
