    Outlook clients lag sometimes

I think the networking looks good. We have two Extreme Networks 100Mb switches, linked up through the backbone. Is there a diagnostic tool you'd recommend? Otherwise, I think that part looks fine. I tried disabling cache mode on one PC and I'll see if the user reports that things are...

    Outlook clients lag sometimes

We have a separate DC. It's load is pretty light too: it's just a DC for our 25 users. We are using Cache mode. I thought that would mean LESS overhead on Exchange, doesn't it? Users do get a pop up message sometimes when the delay is particularly long. I can't remember though, something...

    Outlook clients lag sometimes

We have Exchange 2003, single server, about 25 users, and a store size of about 25G. The users frequently complain that Outlook lags or hangs or stalls very often when they are browsing through their emails. This seems to happen regardless of individual mailbox sizes. The server doesn't seem...

ok, thanks for the tips. one of the reasons i was even considering this switch was because it seemed like SAV was having a lot of trouble holding up. for example, several times a week i will receive notifications from the server to the effect of "scan engine failure," or...

Read messages in Plain Text only

I use Outlook, and I am concerned that when HTML enabled spam emails open in the AutoPreview window, my info is being sent out to these spammers. I'd like to be able to read my emails in Plain Text only by default. Any way to do this? I looked through the options and couldn't find it. Thanks!

Corporate Antivirus: McAfee vs. Symantec ???

I am supporting an organization that currently uses Symantec AntiVirus Corporate 8.1. They have 25 users. They are considering switching to McAfee's ASaP software, for lower maintenance costs. The argument is that the updates and scan engine are all centrally managed, and therefore will require...
