Hi Joe, When I gave my Oracle 8i Certification exams, I used the 3-volume set on OCP certification published by Sybex, and I found them to be good for the most part except for the backup and recovery exam. Opening up permissions on utl_file output
You can achieve this by setting the umask of the OS user to 002. This, I feel, is insecure because any files created by this user will have permissions like 664. Since you will need to open up the directory to allow other users to access the files it might not be a good idea to have such lax...- gman57
