Outlook .ost and opening Outlook offline

Had an Exchange server. When it crashed we went to Outlook 365. Configured new profiles. One was a laptop. Did not export the original emails and contacts properly before configuring for 365. Have the old .ost file but cannot open Outlook in the old configuration (old profile) to export...

Two calls on hold on the console transferring together

Hi. No, a 1416 phone with the side panels. The problem is also intermittent just to add to the fun. She uses the Hold button and then answers another incoming call. Sometimes when she transfers the second call the first call that is still on hold will go with it.

Editing a formula in an Excel Data Valication source box

Hi, Thanks for the reply but on 2010 that doesn't seem to work either in the first dialog or when you open the source window. If you got it to work, please let me know exactly how. thanks again. Sue

Editing a formula in an Excel Data Valication source box

I use formulas in some Data Validation source boxes. They are usually longer that the size of the box itself. To edit the portion not visible I have to use the right arrow key but this enters a cell reference which I then have to delete. I do this until the end of the formula. Is there an easier...

Excel 2010 formula withing Formula problem

Thanks for the replies. As least I know I am not crazy for that reason. It also seems to only be a problem if one of the actual numbers has .10. I am guessing because of the base 10 thing. If I change it to .20 everything works fine. Thanks again. Sue

Excel 2010 formula withing Formula problem

Hi. Thank you for the reply. The answer of 0 obviously is correct. However when you format the cells as Accounting (which our accounting department does) it makes the number a negative number even though it is -.00000000001, hence the parenthesis around the 0.00. It is interesting that when you...

Excel 2010 formula withing Formula problem

Format your sheet as Accounting. A1=76931.15. B1=73579.10. In C1 subtract the first 2 numbers which yields 3352.05. In D1 type 3352.05. In E1 subtract C1 and D1 Yielding (0.00). If you evaluate that formula C1 formula evaluates out to 11 decimal places (3352.049999999). Only happens if one of...

Formula problems with result from a query

Dumb knee-jerk reaction to something that I was not used to looking at. My bad. Why is it only in the row of the formula? Still not sure I understand the value of that referencing but would like to know.

Formula problems with result from a query

OMG NO. This particular table has no formulas, just information. If there were formulas the sheet would be protected with the formula cells locked. This is for an apartment complex and will contain tenant and occupant data only. The information was originally in an Access database so I used the...

Formula problems with result from a query

Hi Skip, Thank you for your enlightening reply. This was my first encounter with an Excel QueryTable. I will, however be ditching the referencing as I am creating this workbook for use by non-excel people who will be using it as a database. They will not need the good stuff but I will be...

Formula problems with result from a query

I have an Excel 2010 workbook that was created from using a Microsoft Query on another Excel 2010 workbook. When I try to do any formula, any cells in the formula that are in the row that the formula is in contain an @ and the field name, e.g. =[@Tenant1]+[@Tenant2]. Does not seem to affect the...

    Outlook 2010 emailing calendars

We have Outlook 2010 on Exchange 2003. When we try to email a one day calendar that is not today, we get today. Also it is the entire calendar even though we have specified an exact date. Is this normal or do we have a problem? Thanks for any help.

multiple Excel rows into one row

I thank everyone again. I have just started working on using SQL. Just to reiterate my problem to be sure SQL can accomplish it I will simplify it to two tables (if it works for 2 it will work for any number): I have one table with only one entry for an ID and Tenant name. I have a second table...

multiple Excel rows into one row

What I am seeing is that I create new tables for the occupants and cars in Access using SQL so that the occupants become occ1 and occ2 (etc.) and then export all three tables to Excel like before except all information for each tenant should then be on one row. Please let me know if I am missing...

multiple Excel rows into one row

I thank both of you for your posts. I am using VBA only because that is what I am familiar with. Sounds like I should get comfortable with SQL. What is the advantage to SQL?

multiple Excel rows into one row

Thanks for your response. Hadn't really started it yet. Been looking at other examples. Have manipulated ranges with VBA (hiding, unhiding, changing font color, etc) but have not moved cell information from one place to another that was not a direct cell reference. And it must stay with the first...

multiple Excel rows into one row

Have an Access database. Have 3 tables all linked to an ID. This is a tenant database. Have one tenant with 2 occupants and 2 cars. Have exported to Excel the 3 tables. I now have two rows for the one tenant for the second occupant and the second car. Want to make one row with both occupants and...
