Looks like this will work, but I do have one issue. I need to add this to several forms as each user has their own form. Is there a way to make this into a module and call that module on each form; or am I going to have to modify each form individually?
I know this may seem like a convoluted...
Good morning,
I have a form that is used to enter a log of daily activities for each of our customer service representatives. In the header (DAL_Header), there are two fields that are required: the CSR's employee number (CSR-Num, and the date (DAL_Date). In the detail section is a sub-form...
You're correct about receiving the error. When this happens, I can't even enter data into the table directly. Strange thing is...only the subform table locks up. The header table never locks up; which is why I suspected either the subform's query, or the subform itself. I just can't seem to...
PHV - Both tables have their own auto number key.
MacroScope - That's how it was set up from the start.
I've tried recreating the form and the subform. I've split the app into FE/BE, I've been all over the net trying everything I could find or think of, and it still locks up!
Tried posting this before, but I'm not sure it went through.
Good morning.

Good morning.
I am working on an idea for a form for a project and need some advice. The form will have several fields on it, but I'm only interested in two of them. They will be called [Start_Time] and [End_Time]. I know how to get the difference between the two, but what I need is for each...
Thanks to everyone for the responses and ideas, but I think I need to clarify. The header form has three fields in the header: EmpID, Date, And EmpName. The first two are entered by the employess, the third fills in automatically courtesy of a dlookup based on the EmpID.
The subform has fields...
Good morning.
I need some advice on a problem. I have created what amounts to a time and tracking application, but I've run into a problem. In the application, I have a field where the employee enters their employee number and the date in the header, and then enters their daily activities in...
Thanks dhookom! That was what I was missing! I knew the date had to be surrounded by the '#' sign, but I didn't realize that it was needed for time calculations as well. It's always the little things that cause you the most trouble! :)
Good morning.
I need to have a way of changing time field's color on a form. I have tried several ways, but without success. Basically, I need the font to turn red if the time is before 8:00 AM. Any ideas?
One thing that I've run into in importing text files is that if they are comm-seperated value files (not true text), access will be thrown off by any extra commas. For example, if you have a text file with the following data:
John Smith, 10/13/09, Customer
Access will import it as three...
Order Number Name State
John Doe NC
12345 Paid
What I need is to have some way to move the '12345' up to the Order Number field in the first line. The 'Paid' comment is irrelevant.
I have a database that has two lines per record (This was an import from an Excel File!). How can I tell Access to pull a field's data from the second line, and insert it into the same field on the first?
Hi all,
I am currently working on a call log database that shows the percentage of people called broken down by state. Ex. AL=65%, AR=14%, etc. Is there any way of pulling this data into a report where I can show the percentages for each state on a map? I have successfully set up the map, but I...
Actually turned out to be a defective card. I set the system up 'breadboard style' as mentioned above, and had the same problem. I then started pulling components one at a time, and discovered that the culprit was a defective tv tuner card. Once the card was removed, everything worked prefectly...
