    Apprently I was in the wrong forum. I don't know whether it was a virus or not. The person has a habit to use the on/off switch instead of correct shutdown. Am sorry that I got into the wrong forum. Have to start at the beginning.

    Started Safe mode thru pressing the F8 key BUT when it got to the list of drivers, IT just froze and could only shut down with the On/Off switch.
