    when bdc is online users cannot log on

    I have just installed a nt 40 server as a bdc. When the bdc is online all users are unable to logon. If I turn the bdc off, users can log on. I have checked the event viewer on both bdc and pdc and synchronization is succesful. Has anyone ever had this problem? Thank you for your help.
