    Insert BMP file into Access results in Package not BMP

    How do I prevent an inserted bitmap file from being inserted as a 'Package' object rather than a bitmap image? When inserted as a package into a bound object field in Access this means that only an icon can be displayed not the image itself.

    BMP always inserts as a 'Package' in Access 97 (Win 98)

    Using a bound object frame in a form, JPG's and GIF's will correctly insert and display as image content. When inserting BMP's, the bound object type is 'Package' and will only display an icon. How do you prevent the inserted object from being converted into a package?
