    Thanks! The Librarty is not on a SAN. Hp tech has been onsite and has confirmed hardware is OK. Device is still showing as offline?? Is this similar to what you have written? http://support.ca.com/techbases/as2000/as2k-1040.html If I do this, would I have to re-modify the job scripts...

I'm the backup for the backup and know very little of Arcserve: Last week it took forever to inventory the tapes in our silo, but it eventually did it and the backup was OK.
