You might have run into this exact problem when trying to save an aspx page to a sharepoint website. The error is: "An error occurred accessing your Windows Sharepoint Services site files. Authors - if authoring against a Web server, please contact the Webmaster for this server's web site...

Can we send a form to an ASP script?

Hi everyone, I have an internal WSS where users fill in their bug reports. Sharepoint allows the IT guys to receive emails, warning them that an issue was posted on the site. This is not enough. Does anyone have an idea how to send the full form to an ASP script? What I am trying to do is have...

Fire you for little or no reason.

What you say Medic makes sense to me. It is a matter of production, results and value for the company or organization that the person is working in, that makes a difference. If the guy produces things of value for the company, then who gives a damn if he is downloading MP3 files to listen at...

An error occurred accessing your Windows SharePoint Services files

Question: I am getting the same error, exact same problem and have looked for a solution all over the net without great result. The only solution I have seen that worked is to remove SP1. My question is if anyone attempted to remove SP1 on a live site without creating major problems.

Should computer technology be used to kill people?

There are really good thoughts and viewpoints here. I like the idea of reducing the number of deaths and be more precise with technology, as long as it is used for an in ethics purpose. I am not, and will never be against the fact that one has to protect himself, his familly, his nation, and...

Should computer technology be used to kill people?

Cajun, Thank you for your note. You are very welcome. Yes, your are right about the existing freedom in the US but don't forget that it was created by the people, sane individuals and groups who worked at it for many years by passing things into laws. It is not wars that stopped slavery; it is...

Should computer technology be used to kill people?

jsteph I think so. If gays can get a law passed that allow them to get married, against all religious text that exist on earth, I think we can push through a law that protects the programmers' work and its use of. I don't know how real it is, but it would good to check into this because I think...

Should computer technology be used to kill people?

You guys are terrific! What about passing a law, such as giving the software programmers a right as to how their software get used, making it an offense for "the boss" or a governement to use it for destructive purposes or ways that are not described in the signed agreement? Would this...

Should computer technology be used to kill people?

I guess there are may levels of Reponsibility, and this is where we see the value of men. Responsiblity could be as low as "I am not responsible for anything even for my own actions", to "I am fully responsible for all my actions directly or indirectly, including those of others...

d1rage5: I tried this but it didn't change anything. After that I used the GPedit.log of the WinPolicy.exe (in the Windows Resource Kit Tools). In the log I found this error that might give a clue as to what is going on here: CGroupPolicyObject::OpenDSGPO: does not start with LADP// Does...

Should computer technology be used to kill people?

Thank you very much for all your answers. Some good points were brought up above. Obviously, one should be able to defend himself or his familly to survive, but weapon as rarely the answer.
