I have a Dlink switch that has a console port but it only runs at 115200 baud rate, it does not allow me to change that. I want to be able to remotely connect to it using a US Robotics 56K modem.
I already have it succesfully connecting to my cisco console port that runs at 9600, but how do I...
I'm a little confused here. By lines you mean extensions right? Or do you mean outside lines (CO lines, SBC lines, same thing.)
And can you explain what is suppose to happen in night mode and day mode.
BTW what's you voicemail extension.
Sorry, JTB but I have to disagree.
Braindumps are nice to have if and only if they are used correctly.
I myself use them to study up. Usually two days before the test, I go through these dumps actually testing myself, to make sure that I am ready for the material.
Like Smallboy3uk phrased it...
You might wnat to try this, I got it from within the NEC forum...
....I know it is a timer in CMD 41 that causes this problem from analog phones. I think it is CMD 410>03. Try changing it to "00".
I have never had problems with the windows Matworx on old systems before...
But anyways, if you need the DOS version - let me know...

As far as Slot to Amphenol cable assignment goes:
Slot 1,3,4 Correspond to Amp 1
Slot 5,6,7 " " Amp 2
I am not use to looking at the Amps by color assignment. I usually just split the 66 block in to three parts (8 Pairs each)
Each slot can have a total of 8 Ports (8 Pairs) --
So...
I have a question. In a simple switched enviroment, say 12 computers on a 12-port switch, if one of my nodes does not know the MAC address of the destination, but only its IP address. It will have to broadcast an arp request.
Now the question is, if the switch has the MAC address in its ARP...
There are a bunch of places out there that have books and training for the Cisco CCNA. This place has some useful books on Cisco stuff... for free!!

Email me at agonza07@yahoo.com for more CCNA/CCNP/MCSE training material that I've found.
Sorry about my last reply, the FMS() does have a HD light.
If you have the software to connect to the FMS card, put the flash card back into the system and power it up. See if you get any screens that show error codes. Try looking inside the box where the FMS came in or some disks near the...
You're going to have to make sure all of the following are setup correctly. By the way, you either have a VMS()-U10 or a FMS()-U10 I am assuming you have a VMS()-U10 because you have an HD light which rules out the possibility of having a 64MB flash card. Uncover your system and look at the card...
Notice: This will only work on NEC voicemail systems with the security code left at default.
The main point here is to get to the main greeting from any phone. You can do this from a phone that does not have a voicemail box, just dial the voicemail extension. You can also get to the main...
Usually I like to give the receptionist a 32-button phone. The sixteen center buttons I would use for CO lines, Voicemail and ICM, etc. and the 16 buttons on the right for Direct Station Selection/Busy Lamp Fields (DSS/BLF)
But since you're working with an 8 button phone -
On SAT

I too was unable to find a programming manual for the system out in the internet myself, even NEC doesn't have it on their website. If you buy any of those manuals buy the system manual, although I do not think it contains the programming section.
Like I said I have the 8/24 manual and if you...
Do you have the NEC AIMWorX call accounting software? If you do it is pretty much out of my league. But if all you're trying to do is run reports, send me an email at agonza07@yahoo.com I'll send you over a link on a tutorial for that.
That is a pretty old system, the only manuals I have are for the Elite 8/24, which even if the programming were the same it would still be difficult for me or for you to know what ports are being used and other minute details about the system.
My only suggestion would be to contact your vendor...
You can setup an SMDR server in which this server will log any calls made by anybody. Software, like Tapit 2000 will allow you to keep better track of this information and can provide you with detailed reports of incoming and outgoing calls. The Tapit software runs you about $850, a special...
