A client is asking if we can setup Microsoft CRM to use TCP/IP instead of Named Pipes in SQL.
Is Named Pipes required? Would this be relatively simple?
I've got backup exec 10.0 B5484 on a server of mine, 8. I am going to be using 8 for other purposes. I'd like to be able to move my database from 8 to it's new home on 9. 9 has 10.0 B5484 on it as well. I do a SQL restore w/move on 9. after which i cannot start the backup exec server service...
thanks a ton skip, worked great!
one last question though. do you know of anyway that each line could be a different item number? i'd like multiple item no's on the spreadsheet.
i need to create an "active" excel spreadsheet.
basically one would punch in an item number in column A and if it matches a valid item number in our database, then columns B-F would get auto-populated with the correct corresponding data (from other database fields). here is an image that may...
I am running a TZ170 (SonicOS Standard) in my domain and VPN to it with the Sonicwall Global VPN Client. All is working fine with the connection.
The one problem is that my users cannot use the internet when they are connected. How can I set it up so that when they connect to the domain via...
i'm backing up large ammounts of data and would like to shave space where i can. do i need to be backing up the pagefile on each of my servers? if i need to recover from tape, won't windows automatically re-create the pagefile on startup if it sees there is none?
I ended up figuring it out.
I made and OU for only the people I wanted to have access. I created another domain admin in this OU. he authenticates the LDAP. I put "All LDAP" users in the local group "ACCESS." this handles my needs.
I guess where I might run into problems is if i have...
I'm running a Sonicwall 2040 with Enhanced OS. I've connected the LDAP to my DC (win2k3). This is working great.
My problem is that I want only certain users to be able to authenticate to the sonicwall. I've created a group in my Active Directory called "ACCESS" and only members of this group...
i just went from 9.1 to 10 at home and also at a client. my 9.1 at home was an upgrade and it went very smoothly. just don't forget to uninstall the old remote agents before trying to install the new ones for 10.
the install at my client was basically a clean 10 as i had to completely...
i'm having this same issue right now, and i agree that it's an exchange issue. i'm a full exchange admin, but if i go to the security tab of my server (System Manager), i've got some inherited denies, but i can't find where they are inherited from.
are you switching the tapes yourself? at one of my clients, i have a worker switching the tapes and sometimes she forgets/pulls the tapes out too early. my jobs have sporatically in the 20HR range and it appears to be my "tape-switcher."
overkill is not a concern =)
they are expecting to pay up to $1000 for whichever box is the best solution. i don't make money off hardware so don't suggest a cheap box and pocket the rest ;-)
i like that Pix is an OS-inspecific system, therefore threats aimed at particular OS' won't affect it.
hello all,
my webserver has 2 NICS, one for the WAN and one for the LAN. i need to implement a hardware firewall solution for this webserver. this box i'm assuming will sit between my T1 router and my WAN card. is the Cisco Pix a good device for this usage? would i simply block all incoming...
