I know there is a way to get the current Duplex setting for a Network Adapter via WMI but I am having no luck at all finding it!
Can someone help me out here please?
Hello,
Current assignment is to gather server hardware/software info, which is pretty easy with WMI, but I cannot find a way to get the current ESM Controller version number.
Does anyone know how to do this? WMI would be great, but the only thing I can find is "dcesm" which seems to...
Thanks. There aren't any previous installs on this computer, no anti-virus stuff running, and I am the administrator.
This was a clean OEM formatting of the hard drive install of XP Pro. It was only after a few weeks use of the machine that I thought I might as well put VB on it as I use that...
Hello,
I tried to search for this issue but the search engine is down.
I upgraded to Windows XP Pro but when I try to install my Visual Studio 6.0 (to install VB 6.0) it keeps telling me that a setup error has occurred.
I tried a solution I found at MS which involved renaming all the...
I've protected some directories via .htaccess/.htpasswd, but I'd like to use my own front end login screen.
Is there a way to submit the user name and password from my program to the OS such that the user is logged in and has access to these proteced directories?
Thanx!
Does anyone know if it is possible to store Perl statements in a data field in a mysql table such that they will be executed when the field is read and displayed in a pl/cgi script file?
If so, could you please share that methodology with me?
Thanks!
I have a similar issue. Do I have to have MS Access installed on a destination machine where I will install a VB project that creates a MDB database and uses it from then on, or does the executable contain all the files necessary for its creation and subsequent manipulation?
rdish41,
Okay, just read your entry from the other post I have. You wrote:
"I'm going to try and lay it out as simply as possible. (1) connect your DSL modem to the WAN port on the router. (2) connect the only remaining port on the router to a port on your hub. (3) connect the remaining...
Don't you have to configure the gateway to talk to the authentication server for the account? I have SWBell. My DSL modem is working and now I want to add a DSL router.
But you are saying to uninstall the Enternet 300 software? How will the ISP server be contacted?
Hmmm...
Well, pod2man is in /usr/bin, which is already in the path. If I type "pod2man" I get output, including the Perl version 5.006. However, when I cd to the directory I created and ftp'd the Date::Manip files into for installation and type "perl Makefile.pl" the Perl...
I'm trying to compile/install the Date::Manip C modules for use on a Redhat system. I keep getting the "pod2man" not found error, which I believe has something to do with the path variable.
Can someone help me out here? How do you set the path in Linux?
Thanx!
It's a 5260. It has two network ports. What would happen if I just hook the Netgear hub into one of these and ran my machines off the hub? If I explicitly assign IP address to each machine could I run them in this way to all use the current DSL ISP connection, or do I still need the DSL...
Thanks for answering. Actually, I had read about the "since 1970" part, but it worked for dd/mm/1953 so I forgot, and was curious as to why it wouldn't work for 1951.
Date::Manip will be fine for me since I only need to calculate maybe six or seven date values in the entire program...
It's a SpeedStream Efficient Networks external 2-port modem. Standard with the SWBell package, evidently.
I should just get the Linksys DLS router - probably the best solution.
How do I tell which port to use for the uplink? On my Netgear, there is an uplink button - out is normal, in is...
When I use
my $datevar = timelocal(0,53,17,22,7,53);
everything is fine.
When I use
my $datevar = timelocal(0,53,17,22,7,51);
I get the 500 Internal Server error.
What am I doing wrong? Do I need to use Date::Manip?
Thanks
