hey, i'll like to thank you guys for your replies. tried what you suggested but to no avail. the computer detects the card, but no sound. tried the updated drivers, didn't work thought. if it helps i am running in win 98. thanks again.- comphelper619

sound card problem
i am fixing a machine for a friend of mine as a favor. it is a Compaq presario cds 520 (486 machine). for some reason the sound card wont work. it is an advance logic als 120. can anyone help me on this! please! any help would be greatly apreciated. thanks in advance.- comphelper619
