I didn't import anything, I deleted a form which now still has a module attached to it but because it isn't there it gives the error.
I have a backup copy but it is done in a different way which is why I started doing it the way I am now which gives me the error. It is seemed better to fix the...
The code worked before. What I think has happened is that a deleted form still has code attached and when accessing the code it reads this first as it is first in the list and brings up the error because this form doesn't exist.
I have tried creating a form of the same name but it doesn't pick...
Has anyone ever come across the following error:
Microsoft Visual Basic
"Error accessing file. Network connection may have been lost"
I am not doing any work over the Network, It is all local. The Visual Basic window comes up after clicking OK to the error message but it doesn't run...
The problem is solved. The monitor just decided to show me something a bit more intelligable and I changed it back but is there a program anyone knows of that can do this from a floppy disk or something as I have come accross this problem before.
Problem - I reset my screen resolution too high for my monitor to display, it rebooted and when it came back it shows lots of flashing bars and I can't do anything.
Does anyone know how to reset the resolution, when you can't use the monitor to navigate windows. It is an NT 4 computer.
Why don't you give the ADMIN group full rights ... Just kidding
have you recently run a compact and repair?
is there more than one workgroup on your server and can you redirect everyone to this?
Has there been any activity with the workgroup file that might have interferred with it(e.g. someone...
Do you mean disable the record navigation in just one database then yes. You can disable it individually for each form. open the form properties and change 'record selectors' and 'navigation bars' from yes to no and this disables the default selectors.
I have gone over your problem and I don't...
I guess I win the award for the shortest thread (see above)
No sorry I don't use MySQL on the internet.

You are using an ASP to get the data stored in and access data base so Access isn't managing the retrieval of data or the display (right) so it shouldn't matter whether your friends have Excel or Access the ASP should show them the data.
What is better?
Access is a pithy little program with a...
As long as the data is indexed and the report you use is based on a query (set to order them by ascending or descending date) then the report will show the data in order of date and not leave the newly added one at the bottom where it is in the table.
does this answer your question.

Do you want to send it to an open excel document or to a file that you can open in excel. I can't help you with the former but the latter I have just had to work with a DB that does this.

This is the first thread you've posted so I am not sure what your level of Access ability is. If you are not sure how to do anything I have said above, please do ask and if I am not here to help several others from this will site easily understand what I said and probably have a better solution...
I am not quite sure what your asking. But as it appears you want the box on a form that shows the record number to relate to a field being displayed on your form and use this to link to the field and not the record number.
If this is the case then I think what you want to do is impossible...
I'm not a much more than a novice, but hang around this site for a while and you'll pick up more than enough info on how to solve problems.
The refresh should be run on the on click and just do it by reopening the form.
docmd.openform "yourformname"
and this should refresh it...
In Excel you can't change the Column header, the A B C D etc row but you can change the row heights in excel and these are where you put your actual column headings in excel. But Access doesn't allow you to put column headings in your rows so i don't think you can do what you want without...
Once you have typed something into FormA what does your button do to put it into FormB or does it just switch forms. If so you may need to put the data into your tables first and then switch over to FormB telling it to use the FileID from FormA and recall the data from these.
If typing something...
As far as i know this is impossible, as what you are asking is to stop Access doing what it does.
However you could try, putting a set of text boxes above your subform (the same number as number of columns in your subform) to fill in and put in a button to add the data in them to your tables...
Is there a way to stop someone pulling all the tables out of an access database using ODBC without disabling there rights to use ODBC. In the Control Panel under Administartive Tools and Data Sources(ODBC) how do I remove an access database from being detected by this if they have the ability to...
