In Wireshark, go to the statistics->Converstations table and you will see a list of ip addresses:port number
I would sort by Bytes and see if the top ones are using legitimate port numbers

the only way would be to position you analyzer between the router and the internet access device (ie modem).
Since the link is 3 Mb, you can get away with a simple 10/100 hub, but then you should make the router interface detected the duplex as half.

Nobody really sends a 'frozen window' It is an observation that the Expert notes based on the default 5 second threshold. All it really means is that the TCP window size hasn't changed in 3 seconds. May not really mean anything if the TCP Window size is near the maximum it started with.
