    I went to Last Known Good Configuration and I got the same message. I have not changed any thing recently.

    When I boot my other computer I get a message that says- WINDOWS COULD NOT START BECAUSE THE FOLLOWING FILE IS MISSING OR CORRUPT:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM If anybbody could help me that would be great.

    I am trying to wipe every thing off of my computer and i dont care about the files I will lose. I was wondering how I format the drive and if the XP Pro disc acts as a recovery disc.
