    DTSglobalvariable to SQl query?

    How do I pass a SQL query result(a single integer value) of one DTS step to another? I know I have to use globalvariables, however, it seems that globalvariables can only be accessed by ACtiveX scripts , not SQL query. Thanks in advance. Aja
