robot inventory failed : Unable to sense robotic device (202)

OK. I have seen this error before several times on different sites. Have you actually tried what I suggested? Remove the tapes that do not have barcodes on them and try to run an inventory. This will confirm if the problem is what I think it is. MrP

robot inventory failed : Unable to sense robotic device (202)

If your library is equiped with a barcode reader then you will need a barcode on every tape. MrP

robot inventory failed : Unable to sense robotic device (202)

That is you problem then. Netbackup can deal with tapes with no barcode if they are in a blind library. If the library has a reader then it expects every piece of media to have a barcode. Remove the media without barcodes and try again. MrP

robot inventory failed : Unable to sense robotic device (202)

Do you have any media in it? Remove and tapes and try again. If it works check the media you have removed and make sure they all have bar codes and that none of the bar codes are unreadable. It might sound strange but if you have media with no or unreadable barcodes in a library that has a bar...

    DL380G3 5i+ & 6402 best combination???

I don't think there is any problem with your config. Having an integrated controller looking after internal disks and a pci controller handling external disks. This isn't quite what you have but the point I am making is 2 controllers in a system is not uncommon. If you are happy with the slower...

HP Rapid Deployment Pack - I'm clueless on how to use

It is fairly easy once you get the hang of it. If you have installed the HP RDP pack you will already have all the scripts you need for the unattended installs. If you can't work it out yourself, it is a bit convoluted at first, you can actually download the manuals from the HP site. There is...

Hi all I am getting the following errors. I have no idea what the "could not reset the access time of blah" does anyone know? I think that this one "TRV - /OracleAppFiles is in a different file system from /." is not important. I have /OracleAppFiles as a listing in the...

    System Will not Boot

I had the same problem on a 380g2 after a reboot (a bdc) I just ended up rebuilding it. After it was rebuilt and replication with the pdc had completed the customer rebooted the pdc. It failed with the same problem...not a good day. Before the rebuild the customer needed some data off one of the...

    dual processor at different speeds

Typically compaqs will run processors at different speeds, though it is best if they are the same speed. More important is the cache size and stepping. The cache on both chips must be identical and the stepping must be within 2.
