Hard Drive partition vanished!!!
disk management has found unallocated space. my question is what the heck happened to the original partition i created for it. Like i said it was working fine when i transfered info to it and was able to access the drive. Hope this isnt recurring. Thanks for the help guys!- sdpads19

Hard Drive partition vanished!!!
Just installed Windows xp onto a 40G WD harrdrive (all components brand new) and loaded xp onto 1 of 2 partitions. 2nd partition used for data only. Everything worked great yesterday. Today I power up the computer and my second partition is gone! Looked in Disk management and only recognized 1st...- sdpads19
