AMD 2400+ on ECS L7VTA problems above 100Mhz
I have now obtained a new mainboard manufactured by MCI it cost me a little bit more but all my problems have gone away. My AMD 2400+ reads as a 2400+ in bios and Win XP and my cordless Memorex Mouse also works. In conclusion the ECS L7VTA board was faulty and would not run above 100Mhz (200Mhz)...- Garry45

Since my first message, I have installed the CPU in a K7sa Motherboard and run it at 133Mhz and it runs ok. However the K7sa only supports lower CPU's. It ran ok but reported as a 2000+ in Bios ans 1995 in windows XP. I am now going to buy a new motherboard of a different make, one of the...- Garry45

I am building a new PC AMD 2400+ ECS L7VTA Motherboard Radeon 9600 126MB AGP 120 GB Hitachi 180 GXP Hard Drive Crucial 512Mb PC2700 DDR After Fdisk when I try and load Win 98 or XP the OS fails, Win 98 freezes at Scandisk and XP reports unable to copy files.
