Disabling serial port on Modem.
The gear is a Cisco ATM switch (MGX). I can connect to it with my laptop (Hyper Term) 8 None 1 No Flow. 9600bps. No problems and have configure the modem to use 9600bps. I am connecting the modem into the management port.- mabf

Hi, Heres the deal. I am currently using a Hayes compatable modem connected to some Telco gear to enable remote access to it. CRC errors on Interface
We got it going now. The telco is using a Nortel TN1-C ADM/SDH. It has two DS3 ports and we where trying to commission on port two as port one was in use. We changed cards,cables etc to no avail.
