Freestone:
You got it right. I'll try the way the link suggests.
Thank you very much.
If I solve my problem I'll mark your past as helpfull, otherwise I'll post my progress.
I use Windows XP Pro.
I need access to my files in the "my documents" folder. I had a boot-password when my motherboard broke (kt266a).
I bought a new one, nForce2, but now my windows does not boot anymore. Is there any way to copy the "protected" data to another hd...
Hi. Im running a Win ME system and have trouble to connect to a Access Point which is protected by a WEP encryption. Is there any way to enter a WEP key just like in Win XP?
Thanks for your help!
Sounds like a hardware problem...
Do you hear the typical "spinning sound" when you insert a CD, there might be some power-trouble.
Otherwise the DMA-Cable might be broken. Try to replace it.
Strange thing there. A XP2400 is usually running at a fsb of 133 and a multiplier of 15 (15 * 133 = 2000. 2000 is the real MHz value of a XP2400). If the fsb is set to 100 the CPU should run at 15 * 100 = 1500MHz. Did you change the multiplier to 10,5 somehow? Thats the only way to get a fsb of...
Try setting the jumper to 133MHz and use one memory stick only or choose RAM-timings with less performance.
Make sure the RAM runs at 133MHz as well and you have the right AGP and PCI ratio.
I think AGP must end up at 66MHz and PCI at 33MHz.
If you select a fsb of 133 the AGP ratio therefore...
I had a similar problem once: My board showed my 2400XP as a 2GHz CPU, for the BIOS didnt recognize the CPU and showed the "real" frequency instead...
So, is your CPU running at 2100 "real" MHz or is it showing a 2100XP?
Anyway, fsb 166 will not work geat with pc133 ram.
You should have a look at the manufacturers website to see the max supported frequency of your board; amd changed a bit while switching from palomino to thoroughbred.
Sorry. I didnt mean to confuse you.
Your XP2100 runs at a speed of 1.733. Thats a FSB of 133MHz at a multiplier of 13. 133*13 = 1733. If you lower the FSB to 130 you also lower the frequency the northbridge is communicating with your RAM if its set to be syncronous.
If you think your RAM might...
Im afraid, thats not enough information. Whats the driver version you are using? And what P3 is in your PC? It might be a bit slow to play DVDs properly.
Whats the playback software you are using?
Are you sure its the graphics card thats messed up? Have you tried another one?
And do you have to reboot after your "multicolored screen"? Or is the gamne the only thing that crashes and Win XP survives?
If there is no such option in the Bios, try searching the board for some jumper to disable the integrated VGA manually.
Is there an option called (Init VGA -> AGP/PCI) in your Bios? Or is that the option you are missing?
It might be the RAM, yes. But when you are running the CPU at standard frequency (133*13) the RAM is fully within its specification. Whats the manufacturer, btw?
Do you have these freeze problems when the PC is running at 130*13? Ever tried it without the Macronix NIC Card?
Hi.
Im new to VC++ and have some problem creating a function which is given a CString and is supposed to return 1 if the CString is a valid positive double.
I think of something like
int CheckForDouble (CString input)
{
if ( input is a positive double )
{
return 1;
}
return...
