If you double-click in the grey area representing the chassi of the switch, you can see the serialnumber of the nortel gear, although now when I look at a 450, the serialno looks like a MACadress, this is not the case with the 420s...hmm... -Cheers, Niklas

Hey you guys Im getting an error message when I try to run that OID for CPU utilization, I wonder if I have the "wrong" version of MRTG or something... It says that it is an unregistered value in the MRTG_lib.pm file, and I guess that means that it cannot use that OID? Anyone??? -Cheers, Niklas

No, the pings dont come and go, they disappear completely. We dont use IGMP, but the snooping is per default on. And if you add a new VLAN to a switch, it has IGMP snooping and proxy on, and you have to turn it off manually, or the switch will go down...And when we turn IGMP off at one switch...

Hi. If you have other nortel gear, connect it with the 450, and use optivity switch manager and see if the new switch appears on the map. Not sure if this will work if the uplink ports aren´t the same, just something I thought of. Please tell me if it works...=) -Cheers, Niklas

Hey all! Im just curious, I accidentally told DM to open 172.16.2.1600 And it worked! Well, kinda, it opened 172.16.2.64, and if you take 1600 and turn it into binary (f.ex with ms calculator) and then choose bytes, and then turn it back to dec, it reads 64... =) But still, shouldn't DM stop...
