AHA! Just one minute after i posted that I decided to just turn off my Norton Internet Security - and tada - it works just fine. I'm having the exact same problem - it just started this week. I've tried reinstalling SQL Server (just the client tools), reinstalling Windows 2k, reinstalling VS.Net, etc. I've found a couple of other threads online that describe the problem - but no solutions!
