This is usually caused by Symantec's AntiVirus for Exchange. Check with either Symantec or McAfee--whichever virus scan program you're using for Exchange.
This happened to us recently. If you document all your Internet Connector (MSExchangeIMC) information, delete the connector, and readd it. Stop all your services & then reboot the server. It will help fix the problem your having. If you can, do this during non-business hours.
