under tcp/ip specify ip of 192.168.100.11
then open a web browser and in the address bar surf to 192.168.100.1 this will take you to the modems internals.
specify the search location then browse to to the cd selecting the win 98 folder then select ok. this should install the driver.this is only needed if you are connecting to usb . I would recommend you connect via ethernet card. usb and win 98 are problematic at best.
