    I am having this same problem, only I am on the receiving end. I am using Netscape 7.0 for email and some of my clients are using Outlook. They can send me attachments (.dwg,.tif, etc...) and all I get is a 'part 1.2' attachment that is unusable. I am not sure how much success I will have...
