Hi All,
I just migrated my Domino server from NT to a new W2K server. There was no upgrade to Notes, it stayed at 4.6.7 for now.
I don't get the normal messages on the Console screen anymore. It only tells me the number of transactions/minute and the number of users.

Had the same error, but with WinXP & Office 2000.
I fixed the problem by adding the user to the Domain Admin group and logging on as the user. This seemed to install what needed to be installed. Logged the user off and removed him from the Domain Admin group.
Logged back on as the user with...

I'm trying to consolidate cell phones, normal lan phone line, & broadband services at home. I would like to drop my normal lan phone line and only use our cell phones, plus retain our DSL boardband connection. Is this possible? Or does DSL require an active lan phone line running into the house...

I'm pretty sure you need both ports (20 & 21) open for FTP to work correctly.
FTP clients usually use two ports: port 20 for the Data Connection, and port 21 for the Control Connection.

I've seen problems with user's custom dictionaries, you can either delete them from their system (user.dic in the data folder) or upgrade to the latest version of Notes. The problem i've seen is as the dictionary grows the time it takes for a spell check grows as well.

If you want people to help you need to supply more information.
Is this an issue with some of your db's or is it happening on all of your db's?
What OS are you running?
Do you have enough physical resources?
Is your network bottle-necked?
Does this happen 24x7 or just at certin times...
Go to www.notes.net, go to 'downloads', they have a free Notes client that you can download. Then open your Notes file (I think you mean Notes DB) and you can export the record(s).

Client: Win98, Symantec Antivirus 8.0. Voloview 2.x
1. Uninstall antivirus s/w
2. Install Voloview s/w
3. Reinstall antivirus s/w
