Can't access slave HD or CD-ROM
It sounds like the ribbon cable is not completely attached to the motherboard. Best be is to take the cable out of the machinane and start all over, remembering that the red line on the cable is pin 1 and on the CD and hard drive that pin should be closed to the power connector on the drive...- bigdaddyinmichigan

Cant access map drive after a few hours
Hi, I have a XP pro system on a network running win2k. I have a map drive setup as "S" to xyz\\abcde\ghikl and after a few hours of not accessing that drive, the computer will no longer allow you to access that drive until you reboot. P.S. This system has all latest patches.- bigdaddyinmichigan
