I was involved in a large application transition from IBM MF to Unix (Aix) Db2. Guess that Sun is not the issue here only the application and the Infrastructure transition (Cobol, Cics, Db2)

I meant :
T1-> RA -> RB
transacrion AAAA activates program T1.
Program T1 activates routine RA.
Routine T1 activates routine RB.
How can we measure the cpu time of RA and RB ?
