You are going to log in to whichever DC responds first. One way to tip the scales in the favor of the BDC have problems is to connect to the same subnet as it is, for testing purposes.
Since you are on the same subnet, it should definitely be able to respond the quickest to your auth...

I have one user that when they are writing a message, after 2 minutes, if it is not sent, it will make a copy in the Drafts folder. I have another user to which that does not happen.
I've had an issue arise where I've had to track messages from certain Exchange 5.0 e-mail accounts. No problem. But what I need to do is be able to read the body of the message sent. I have see to whom the message was sent and at what time and date, but I need more.
We are currently running Exchange Server 5.0. I need to find out how to block e-mail coming in from one particular external e-mail address. I'm sure this can be done, but I'm not sure from which menu.
Thanks.
I am running Exchange 5.0 and my clients run either Exchange Client 5.0 through Inbox or Outlook 97 (installed with Office 97).
I've had a problem pop up with a few users where a rule that they delete out of their Inbox Assistant is still active. How can I fix this???
How can you set different "levels" of administrators? For example, I need assistance with creating mailboxes, but I don't want to give anyone the permission to delete mailboxes. Is this possible?
I believe the very last statement is incorrect. Any share name ending with a $ is NOT inaccessible to any one remotely. The $ makes the share hidden. If you know it exists, you can still connect to it.
That is great way to share "confidential" material, that must be shared. No one...
How are you planning to connect to the internet? If you put the items behind a firewall, it will do the hiding/address translation and you can leave the non-compliant IP address on the machine.
I have an issue where we have to e-mail/webservers behind our firewall. One was setup a year ago, the other I am setting up now. Both only have 1 NIC, but have an external (valid) IP Address and an internal IP Address. Our firewall does the address translation.
Pros:
1. Can take remote control of PC's
2. Take a hardware and software inventory of all PC's on the network.
3. Can distribute software remotely and automaticly.
Cons:
1. Difficult to set up.
2. Very difficult to actually get it to work properly.
In the Exchange Client, it is easy to forward e-mails to your pager. Tools, Inbox Assistant, make a rule. In the advanced section, you can even limit the size of the message that will be forwarded.
Here's my question, is it possible to have the text forwarded from an e-mail, but to...
We created some forms using the Electronic Forms Designer (EFD) and they look great...until you try to print them that is.
How do you set it up so that it prints the actual form???
I had a similar problem on my network. I used a tool off of the NT Resource Kit that checks to see who your Master Browser is. I found that a lot of machines were using a server that they should not have been. So, through a registry edit, I fixed that. All the workstations started reporting...
