Thanks for all of the input, but we have actually ended up completely reworking the architecture so that now everything (Citrix, program files, and database) are all on the one server. This has reduced our screen rendering time down to about 0.5 to 1 second, and since we have a small user base...
Hi, I'm hoping someone has a solution to my problem....I have ACCPAC v5.0A Corporate Edition, fully patched, using Pervasive 2000 database. We followed the recommended Terminal setup from ACCPAC where we have 2 servers, a Citrix server with the ACCPAC and database client files, and an...
Hmmm...well for me, using the OLEDB Provider in the connect string worked whereas using the Pervasive ODBC Client Interface for the driver was causing all the problems.
Thanks
Well, thanks for all the help Zemp. Looks like I might have found a solution that seems to work. I had tried using the "End" keyword before and it didn't make any difference.
What I have tried that seems to work is a different connection string. I did some digging on the...
Thanks Zemp, I'll check on the mdac. I am using the ACCPAC desktop to launch the macro I created using the ACCPAC macro/VBA utility, so it still may be ACCPAC related since it works fine when I run it from within the VBA. As for the tables, I just created new ones in the same database as the...
As another piece of information, if I open the macro using the VBA editor from ACCPAC and run the macro from there, the problem does not occur even on the dev. environment. It seems as though it is limited to running the macro from the ACCPAC interface.
Hi Zemp, thanks for the quick response....I think I have closed all the recordsets (recordset.close) and destroyed them (Set recordset = nothing), as well as closed an destroyed the ADO connection object, but I will go through the code to be sure. As far as the code, the following is the code...
Hi, I'm looking for some help with a problem I'm having with a custom macro. I'm running ACCPAC Corp. Edtn v 5.0 with Pervasive 2000i sp4, and I've written a custom macro that accesses the database tables using ADO. The macro works fine, but the problem I am having is on the workstations and...
Thanks for the response Relloc. So basically you are suggesting putting a trigger on the ICILOC table that will update the base price in the ICPRIC table so that it matches the "RecentCost" or "LastCost" value from the ICILOC table whenever that value changes. Sorry to...
Using ACCPAC v5.0 modules Corporate Edition with Pervasive.SQL. I have a unique situation where my users always sell items at the same cost they buy them at. Is there any way to set up Order Entry or Inventory Control so that the unit price always matches the unit cost? I know there are...
Thanks zemp. It seems that right now the Lot Tracking 4.3 is not compatible with the 5.1 version modules of the product. What I'm hoping is that the "Error Code:5" errors I'm getting are all related to that same Lot Tracking problem....
Thanks again.
I'm running a new install of ACCPAC 5.1 Corporate Edition with Lot Control 4.3 using Pervasive 2000i, completely patched up, and I keep getting "Error detected by database DLL" when I try and run reports in the lot control module.
I am also getting "Error Code:5 Invalid...
Thanks zemp. Got the code working fine now, and using the macros to generate most of the code will sure save a lot of time - the only thing to change is the objects used and the variable names (other than the custom logic needed).
Thanks for taking the time to give me a hand - it has really...
Thanks zemp....is there any documentation on using the xAPI objects? I can't find any in the pdf's provided with ACCPAC and I'm not sure where to start.
I have managed to record macros and look at their code, then customize it and use it with my own custom form, all from within the ACCPAC...
Thanks for the quick response zemp. I figured I wouldn't be able to do that kind of customization to the existing forms, but thought I'd see what others had to say. It's unfortunate as I would have liked to be able to avoid creating custom forms to avoid future problems/hassles with product...
I'm totally new to the ACCPAC product as we have just purchased the software. I'm an experienced VB and Java programmer, and I have experimented with the ACCPAC macro feature and creating my own custom forms and using the views to connect to the database and read/write data. What I am...
