r1100rider Did you mean the two machines that could access the shared database were using a Windows 98 client from Novell instead of the XP client from Novell?- whix

Approach Database error message with windows XP
We created an Approach database on a windows 98 machine. It works fine using Approach 9.7. Now we have 2 windows XP machines on the Novell network.When we try to open the databaes on the Xp machines we get an error message that says "Couldn't open database because it is damaged"...- whix
