We're using Great Plains 9 with the Encumbrance Management module. An example of the issue: our purchaser creates a PO for $5000. The department budget is $10,000 and this new $5000 PO would take the department over budget. EM should warn the purchaser at that point that this new PO exceeds the...
After reading multiple reviews on the web while trying to find a way to sync my Dell Axim with my new PowerBook (10.3.x), I'm at a loss. The reviews are either very high or very low. So far I've checked out:
1. PocketMac
2. Missing Sync
Does anyone have real experience with either of these...
It IS USB and I may have narrowed it to the port... but the actual port seems fine - it's also using a USB mouse and a USB keyboard, each of which works in the 4 various USB ports... and I've moved the printer cable to different ports... and tried a different USB cable.

I've got a Windows XP/SP2 box that I'm trying to install an A1000 printer on. Fails to install the printer. Here's what I'v tried:
1. Windows' detects new hardware, go through setup and direct it to downloaded driver - fails
2. Windows detects new hardware, go through setup and direct it to...
pgmina - this should be pretty straightforward. In ADUC select the OU you want HR to be able to create accounts into, right click on it and select "Delegate Control". A wizard will pop up and you can select the HR group and look for a checkbox that allows creation of accounts (will also allow...
You shouldn't have any problems with it; it's pretty generic. Follow the directions on preparing the storage location and be sure you have plenty of space as the file can be very large.
I would (of course) suggest a regular back up of all your necessary files anyway, but I'm sure you do that as...
Okay y'all, what do you think of this XP Media Center?
Does it work as MS advertises?
What kind of DVD recording options have people used (can you create a DVD library for yourself that you can watch anywhere?).
How does the networking portion work if I want to integrate it with the rest of...
I've got a PEG-SJ20/U with the originally installed OS. I've done very little customization (added Docs To Go and Adobe Reader for Palm). Things worked fine for some time, then I was reading a .pdf and the Palm locked. I had to hard reset it. Reopened the .pdf and it locked again. Tried a couple...
Yes, I've had similar problems. My frustration level is that I'm going to reinstall Win2003/SUS next time I have a chance to work on it. I ran into the same issues, posted the question here and received the same (very good) suggestions. None of which helped. I've check the docs, check the...
Another approach you may want to consider is the use of the removeable drive trays. You'll have a separate hard drive for each OS and then you can simply shut down the system and swap the drive. This allows you to cut way back on the amount of work and juggling of OS's in the event of a...
I've looked into the MS Virtual Server/Virtual PC options. What concerns me is the obvious lack of support for Linux. I'm not surprised, of course, but I do have a requirement for Linux/BSD solutions... Anyway actually tried it?

I'm contemplating replacing my 6-computer lab with a single VMWare box. What I'm concerned with is the REAL HW requirements of VMWare. I see on their site that they recommend sufficient RAM for each potential OS (mine will be various combinations of RH9, Win2003 and WinXP, for the most part)...
Yes to all bullet points - all double checked and I've tried 2 different physical XP boxes - one receiving the GP settings from a custom "SUSGP" I created/applied to a test OU, the other as a part of the domain policy. I've got one Win2003 box as DC and one as SUS, plus my clients and...
Excellent idea, except I already tried that. Confirmed the FQDN can be reached from the clients and at one point had the SUS server's IP in there. No joy.
Additional ideas?

I've got a win2003 domain controller, a win2003 sus server and an XP Pro/SP1 client. A GP assigns the wuau22.msi to the client and should point the client to the sus server for updates. The client receives the policy and dutifully tries to implement it, but the wuau22.msi install fails (Event...
Brief thought, for whatever it's worth... configure the DC as a DHCP server and set up all the parameters you want (DNS, WINS, Default Gateway, etc) and try having the server assign it to the client. That might eliminate a setting issue on the client side.
Then try it again.

I'm creating a Ghost Image of a Red Hat 9 Linux computer. I successfully installed/configured RH9, then went through the proper motions to create a Ghost image.
I then pushed the image back down to a test computer (actually the same physical computer the image was created on with a different...

Good morning - I'm working on an iMac 266 and attempting to dual boot OSX.1 with YDL3.0. I successfully installed OSX with no issues, booted successfully, then walked through the install of YDL3. During the install I (believe I) selected the option to be dual booting the two. Regardless, when I...
