re-label a live system disk
Does anyone know if you can re-label a live system disk in the sense that there is space still on the disk that can be assinged to create a new partiton. Do not see any reason why you could not, my understanding is that the label info is only read at mount, but a colleague seems to think it is...- stupejohns

Accessing external drives created on diffrent O/S
Sorry, I will give more detail. I have installed 2.8 on a system that used to be 2.6. I'm trying to access the external drives without much success. The drives are seen by the system, when I go to format they show up. It looks like the drives used to be managed with Disksuite, is it possible...- stupejohns
