I must have done something wrong because msSMSDEFAULtmp and msSMSMPName is not listed. I bet that's my whole problem. I wonder why is wasn't added and how I'd go about getting them in there.
I see that it's already pulled in my users and groups to the collection so at least that's something...
Thank you Joseph. I did the "update Collection Membership" and now I have small hourglasses on each collection group. So far though I only see the server that's running SMS... Shouldn't it be pickuping up everything on the domain as it comes in?
I've run a discovery on my AD domain and it's been going for about 30 minutes and I don't see anything being collected in the default collection groups. I've checked my event logs and I see no errors and also under "Site Satus" and everything looks peachy...
Does it just take that long to...
I have a very simple script I'm trying to get work on mapping some network drives. What complicates it is that the drives I want to map are in an un-trusted domain. Is there a way that I can make a popup box appear for users to add their username and password for the domain that the drives are...
I've done something that has come back and bitten me in the butt... On our file server, I had set the permissions to allow users full control over thier shared folders. Very stupid thing I know (I did this 5 years ago).
Now I'm trying to migrate all the data over to a new file server but...
I'm also looking for something that I can use as a helpdesk with some sort of audit utility built-in for machines on my LAN. I'm kind of having a hard time finding any applications that do that. It's either Track It or Asset Manager made by http://www.alloy-software.com. Anyone else found an...
I looked at http://www.alloy-software.com/ and tried the demo. Seemed to work pretty well except I didn't think it was configurable enough for our needs. I even called and asked for a sales pitch but the guy seemed like he didn't know much or didn't care...
I'm still looking for a site...
Thanks so much for the response Benjaminle! I have looked at those products and they are good. I ended up finding one that was perfect for my needs at http://www.liberum.org/ and it's awesome... Oh, and it's free... Thanks again!
I just posted here an hour ago.. hehe
While I was trying to debug my other problem, I ran across an XP machine that has IE6 on it and for some "God only knows" problem where each page she opens has a 10 second delay after it's loaded. The green status bard stays full for about 5-10...
I have a local site that I only wanted people from my site to view. I'm using Mircrosoft IIS to serve the site. So on the server under "Anonymous Access and Authentication Control" I de-selected "Anonymous Access." I then enabled "Basic Authentication" and...
I was just wondering what people would recommend as a web based Help Desk application? I'd really like something simple. I've been playing with PerlDesk, and it's almost perfect, but it's just a little too simple. Thank you for your suggestions. :)
How did it get corrupt? Did it over or near the 2gig size? If so, there is a tool that can crop the pst file until you can get it working again. The only problem with it is that you'll lose some email and it seems pretty random what goes. I hope that you can get it fixed.
I'd really like some suggestions of a server side software that people have used to inventory the software and hardware on the LAN clients. Most of my machines are wk2. Thanks!
