Are your VPN users running XP Home? And is your LAN setup on a Domain? If so, there might be issues logging into the Domain with an XP Home box/user. Post a reply with your LAN/Client(s) setup.
No, the WINS server did not allow my VPN users to browse the LAN. But they can \\IP or \\computername. So this will be good enough until this issue can be resolved. (As they only need access to my servers...not my user machines). So I have them VPN in, map the drive to the server they need...
After further looking into this"issue", I will be setting up a WINS server today...any other services I need to allow? Also, do I need to open any ports to allow "access" to the WINS server?
I have a Soho6 Watchguard Firewall with users enabled. I can tunnel in. But not browse the LAN's resources. Do I need to configure a RRAS on my Win2k (DC) Server? Also, the users that will be using VPN are setup on a Workgroup and my LAN is on a Domain...is this a factor?
Much Thanks
